WHAT IS HOLY WEEK?

During the days before Easter, Christians around the world remember the events of the last week of Jesus' earthly life: his final meal with his friends, his arrest, trial, torture, crucifixion and burial. All of this is in preparation for the joy of Easter morning. We would love to have you join us for these worship services.

MAUNDY THURSDAY - April 5

7pm | Sanctuary

This service focuses on a remembrance of Jesus' acts leading up to his crucifixion, with a celebration of Communion.

GOOD FRIDAY - April 6

12pm | Sanctuary

7pm | Gym

Both Good Friday services focus on the remembrance of Jesus' crucifixion and the hours leading up to Easter.

HOLY SATURDAY - April 7

6pm | Gym

At this contemporary, contemplative service we will remember the path Jesus took to the cross, reflecting on the people he encountered, and how we encounter him today.

WHAT IS EASTER?

Together with Christmas, Easter is one of the two most important events in the Christian story. Easter is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the gospel of Matthew, we read: "But the angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.'' This is my message for you."

EASTER OUTREACH BREAKFAST We will be offering a free breakfast from 7:30 to 11am on Easter Sunday, April 8th. Volunteers are needed to help prepare, cook, and serve breakfast. If you are interested in helping out in any way, please contact Pastor Fawn Mikel by email or at 954.771.7300 x250.
