Marriage Seminar

We offer a Marriage Seminar 4 times per year. Whether you are married, engaged, or dating, we invite you to join us as we explore biblical perspectives about love, marriage, and sexuality. After all, we could all use help in improving our relationships!

In our Marriage Seminar, we use Making Love Last a Lifetime by Adam Hamilton. Our hope is to:

help men and women understand God’s plan and purpose for love relationships
explore God’s objective in the covenant of marriage
offer REAL help and hope for achieving the kind of relationship God intends for every couple

During the weekend, participants will hear not only the differences between men and women, but what each sex wishes the "others" knew about them; habits of healthy marriages; the gift of intimacy; the meaning of faithfulness; and necessary foundations to achieve "forever" in our relationships. Though all of that may sound a little overwhelming (and maybe boring?), we promise that you will not only be educated but you will learn with joy through leader teachings, small group discussion, guided discussions with your partner, videos, question and answer sessions with REAL couples, and more! You will plan and experience a "date night" to increase communication… and hopefully, have a little fun!

The cost for the weekend is $50 per couple/$30 singles and covers all materials, meals on Thursday and Saturday, and the beginning of building a lifetime of love. Partial scholarships are available.

All are invited… you do not have to be a member of (or even attend) Christ Church. So invite someone to join you! This weekend would be a great gift to give parents, children, engaged couples… any one you know that longs to make their relationships the best they can be!

The basic schedule will be as follows:

Thursday, 6 to 9pm (dinner provided)
Friday, DATE NIGHT (on your own)
Saturday, 8am to 3pm (breakfast and lunch provided)

If you plan to marry at Christ Church or are attending the seminar as part of your pre-marital preparation, please plan to stay until 5pm, as our Wedding Coordinator will answer your questions regarding weddings at Christ Church from 4 to 5pm.

You may register your attendance below and submit your payment to the church office. Or you may complete a printed registration form found in the church office or Information Desk on weekends and submit with registration fees. Please mark all checks as Marriage Seminar.
