Noah's Ark is located in the nursery building, a freestanding building, just east of the sanctuary. It is divided into three rooms, designed especially for each specific age group. Room 1 for Infants & crawlers, room 2 for toddlers and room 3 for 2-year olds. We provide a safe environment with age appropriate toys, books, and developmental games. It is our hope that you will find Noah’s Ark to be a safe, friendly, gracious, God-honoring place to leave your precious child!
Curriculum:
We believe even our youngest children can be introduced to Jesus through Bible lessons, music, play, and supervised activities by a caring and loving staff.
What to Bring:
A packed diaper bag including the following: 2-3 disposable diapers, pacifier or favorite blanket or security item, a complete change of clothes, and a bottle of milk, formula, juice or water. Please label all personal items with child’s first and last name before you arrive at church.
Snacks:
Snacks are provided in the 2 year old room. Snack consists of water and cheerios, pretzels or animal crackers. Please inform the leader of any allergies or dietary needs.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up:
The Nursery Director or a member of the nursery staff will greet you at the check-in desk.
You will need to sign your child in. You will also need to fill out a registration or visitor’s card if you are not already registered. The nursery staff will escort your toddler/2 year old into his/her room or carry in your infant/crawler. Parents should not enter rooms unless they are volunteering that morning. All volunteers have been fingerprinted and screened in order to be with your child. At pick-up you will need to return your pager and sign your child out.
Saying Good-Bye:
After signing your child in we have found it best to say a quick good bye and leave for your worship service. Your hesitancy to leave sends a mixed message to your child, while your quick exit sends a positive message to your child that he/she is in good hands and will have a great time. It is normal for a child to cry when a parent leaves. You will be given a pager at drop-off. If your child cries for an extended period of time and we are unable to comfort him, we will page you.
Checking On Your Child:
The nursery is designed with many windows for you to see your child. Feel free to check on your child at any time. Please try to do so discreetly, trying not to let them see you.
